Лагерь подготовщиков трасс в Македонии12 апреля 2008 If you are between 16-29 years old and would like to learn how to set new climbing routes, head to Macedonia this summer. The Macedonian Sport Climbing Federation is organising a youth camp in Demir Kapija 1-7 July 2008. Demir Kapija is located in the central part of the Republic of Macedonia, 100km south of the capital city Skopje. Skopje Airport is 100km away and Thessaloniki Airport (in Greece) 120km away. The area features quality limestone climbing up to 400m.During the week there will of course be plenty of opportunities for climbing, as well as training in bolting and setting of new routes, social activities and a «Rock Festival». Accommodation will be in the climbing hut «Kalabaster» in Demir Kapija town. Participants must be able to lead climb minimum UIAA VI (French 6a) level. You need to bring your own harness, 10-15 quick draws, 50-60m rope, climbing shoes and helmet. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult/team leader over 18. Remember to check if you need a visa to enter the Republic (FYR) of Macedonia (for many people it is not necessary). The price is 200 euro (payment to be made on arrival), which includes accommodation, breakfast, dinner and transportation from Skopje Airport to Demir Kapija town.
